Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center to Receive USTA Outstanding Facility Award
New Yale Tennis Facility Wins Award
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Cullman-Heyman Indoor Tennis Center will receive a 2009 USTA Outstanding Facility Award as part of the Technical Committee meeting at the USTA Semi-Annual meeting in New York on Sunday, Sept. 6.
The new Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center opened this past season and now serves as the home for Yale tennis. The Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center was made possible by the generous leadership gifts from Sam Heyman '60 and the estate of the late Joseph Cullman III.
The new Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center includes four new courts that are attached to the preexisting four Cullman Courts. Additionally, the new center includes team locker rooms, a team room, and coaches' offices.
The courts will play host to the ITA Indoor National Championships this coming November.
