Calling all athletic alumnae: are you looking for ways to benefit your favorite Yale team?  WISER has the answer!

WISER and Yale Athletics are announcing the second annual “Get in the Game” Challenge for all athletic alumnae.

- The premise is simple – prize money will be awarded to the top four teams that rank the highest in improved alumnae participation (%) by the end of the 2012 fiscal year (June 30, 2012).  The teams that improve the most over their giving percentage from FY 11 will be the winners.  That money will be deposited into that teams Association’s account and be used towards the annual operating needs of that program.

Participation will be measured in gifts of $50 and above for the classes of 2000-2011 and gifts of $100 and above for all other athletic alumnae.

All gifts made prior to March 1, 2011 will count towards the challenge.

The team ranked #1 in participation increase will win $9,000

The team ranked #2 in participation increase will win $5,000

The team ranked #3 in participation increase will win $4,000

The team ranked #4 in participation increase will win $2,000

For those who think a single gift does not make an impact - here it does!  A single gift of $50 can put your team over the top in improved participation percentage and earn your favorite squad an additional $9,000.

Rally your teammates!  Your time to compete on behalf of Yale did not end with graduation -it starts again now.

We will update the WISER website with the challenge results monthly until June 30, 2012 and keep you posted of the teams at the top of the rankings.  Check the website often so you can scout the competition.

The Women's Intercollegiate Sports Endowment and Resource (WISER) is a fund dedicated to supporting women's varsity athletics at Yale University. The fund will be used to enhance the quality of training and competition for athletes across all women's sports as well as to enhance opportunity and development for coaches. In the spirit of Yale's tradition of educating future leaders, resources from this endowment will also be used to cultivate post-graduate connections between women athletes and alumnae.

WISER is the first general athletic endowment established by former Yale athletes. It's members chose the endowment as a means of showing their continuing passion for women's athletics, and for propelling their legacy. Please unite with us and make a Leadership gift.
