Summer 2014 Program Information


Registrations will be processed by Mar. 7, 2014. Besides your regular "in box" please also look in your "junk" mail folder for confirmations. Please check your email address on the registration form to make sure it is correct.

 

Participants may register for only one program each summer

 

 

YOUTH LEARN TO ROW*

*All programs are limited to 20 participants - ages 10 to 15 years old.

NOTE: Priority registration will be given to youth living in Derby, Ansonia, Shelton, Seymour, Sandy Hook, Newtown, Oxford and Monroe.

Each Learn to Row session is now 45 minutes. An additional week has been added to our program

Participants may register for only one program each summer

LTR Session #1 June 23 - June 27 Program runs 8:15AM to 9:00AM  

LTR Session #2 June 23 - June 27 Program runs 9:15AM to 10:00AM 

LTR Session #3 June 30 – July 3 (no program July 4) Program runs 8:15AM to 9:00AM 

LTR Session #4 July 7 – July 11 Program runs 8:15AM to 9:00AM  

LTR Session #5 July 14 – July 18 Program runs 8:15AM to 9:00AM 

LTR Session #6 July 21 – July 25 Program runs 8:15AM to 9:00AM 

LTR Session #7 July 28 – August 1 Program runs 8:15AM to 9:00AM

7TH AND 8TH GRADE PROGRAM:

This two week program is ONLY open to boys and girls who have previously taken the Yale Community Rowing Learn to Row program and will be entering Grade 7 or 8 in the fall of 2014.

Limit: 25 participants per session. 

Do not register if you have a family vacation planned during the program.

This will be a rolling admission and priority will be given to participants in Lower Naugatuck Valley.

Please note the following:

New start times: Program now starts at 6:30am

New program lengths: Program is now 1 ½ hours

Session 1 Dates: June 23 - July 3 (no program July 4). Programs run 6:30AM to 8:00AM.  

Session 2 Dates: July 7 - July 18. Programs run 6:30AM to 8:00AM.  REGISTER

HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM:

To register you must have participated in the 7th and 8th Grade Rowing Program last year or have been part of the Yale Community Rowing Summer High School Program for two consecutive years.  Regular attendance is required. Do not register if you have a family vacation planned during the program. In order to accommodate the ever increasing interest participants may register for only one of the two sessions. Limited to 35 participants per session.

 

Please note the following:

New start times: Program now starts at 6:30am

New program lengths: Program is 1 ½ hours

Session 2 is has been extended and is now 4 weeks long.

 

Session 1 Dates: June 23- July 3 (no program July 4).  (Focus on technical aspects of rowing) Maximum 35 participants. Programs run 6:30AM to 8:00AM.   

Session 2 Dates: July 7-August 1 (Focus on fitness – competitive) Maximum 35 participants. Programs run 6:30AM to 8:00AM.   REGISTER

ADULT LEARN TO ROW: 

Program is open to any age adult OVER the age of thirty. Come and join the fun! Learn how to row and still be at work by 9AM. This program has a $50 registration fee.

Limit: 20 participants per session.

Session 1 Dates: July 21 - July 26 Program runs 7:00AM - 8:00AM   

Session 2 Dates: July 28 – August 1 Program runs 7:00AM - 8:00AM
