"Baseball in New Haven"
a pictorial history from Arcadia Publishing's "Images of
Baseball" series
This 128-page softcover book features 200 photographs that trace
the history of baseball in New Haven from the 1860s to the present.
Among the Yale-related images:
- photos of Yale Field dating back to the late 1800s
- photos of some of Yale's greatest teams, including the 1948
College World Series team
- photos of some of the outstanding players to have appeared in
Yale uniforms, including Albie Booth, Bruce Caldwell, Ron Darling,
Rich Diana, Dave Feuerstein, Frank Quinn, Amos Alonzo Stagg, Dan
Thompson and more
- photos of three generations of Bushes -- Prescott, George H.W.
and George W.

"Splashes"
The writings of Phil. Moriarty
(Prose)
Mr. Moriarty's start with Yale Swimming began in 1932 and ended 44
years later. In 1939 he was appointed as the assistant varsity swim
coach. With Bob Kiphuth's retirement in 1959, he took over and
remained head coach until 1976. Mr. Moriarty was named 1971 NCAA
Coach of the year, and won the 1974 Fred Cady Diving Coaches
Award.He was also inducted into the International Swimming Hall of
Fame, in 1980. He has authored two books: Springboard
Diving, 1960 and Father and Son Swimming Book, 1970.
He has also written many magazine articles about swimming. In his
retirement years, he has stayed involved with the Yale Swimming
Association, directing his energies towards fund raising to build a
new facility for future Yale Swimmers.

USOC Commemorative Rockefeller Rowing Poster
This poster was created by the US Olympic Committee in
honor of the 100th birthday of James Stillman Rockefeller on June
8, 2002. Mr Rockefeller was a member of the 1924 Olympic Crew Team
that won the gold medal in Paris.
