ST. PETERBURG, Fla. – The No. 2 Yale coed sailing team will sail the Gill/ICSA Coed Fleet Race National Championship tomorrow co-hosted by Eckerd and University of South Florida.

Fresh off their victory at the APS/ICSA Team Race National Championship, the Bulldogs are ready to continue their success. This regatta will return to the traditional 18 boat fleet with an A division and a B division.

Both divisions will be racing at once in FJs. The course will likely be trapezoids in order to keep the fleets separated. The forecast calls for a strong easterly for all three days as well.

The Bulldogs brought skippers senior Cameron Cullman, junior captain Chris Segerblom and sophomore Graham Landy with crews senior Heather May, juniors Eugenia Custo Greig, Marlena Fauer and Will Feldman, sophomore Katherine Gaumond and freshman Charlotte Belling. The conditions will determine who starts in each division.

Yale qualified for this regatta by winning the ICSA Semifinals, further building confidence as the Bulldogs head into this final championship. With three full days and 18 races scheduled against the top teams in the country, this will be a competition of endurance as well as skill.

Racing begins at 9:45 a.m. Follow the racing live at
