Thomas Barrows graduated from Yale in 2010 and was the recipient of the Neely Mallory award, the most prestigious award given to a male athlete at Yale. Barrows won 2 high school national championships for the Antilles School in St. Thomas, USVI and twice won his division at the College Nationals. He was awarded All-American 4 times, and named College Sailor of the Year. Outside of college and high school sailing Barrows has actively campaigned in the laser and 49er class. In 2007 he won the laser North American Championship and in 2008 he represented the US Virgin Islands in the Olympics. He is also a US Team Racing Champion. In the fall of 2010 Barrows was an assistant coach for the Yale Sailing team, and he has also been a coach in numerous advanced racing clinics around the country.
