Mendelblatt Team Race Day Two Results
Sunday: Eight teams arrived to a no breeze report time and 70 degree weather. As the day progressed the breeze built up to 10 knots. The first Round Robin of the championship was completed by 11:30am. Races could not be resumed until 2:00pm due to the extremely shifty conditions, the wind did a complete 360. 16 races of the second Round Robin were sailed until the time limit. Two protests were filed. A five way tie for 3rd between CofC, BU, NAVY, H/W and Stanford showed how competitive the event was. (Tie breakers will be resolved)
Preliminary results Championship round:Saturday - Fourteen teams arrived to 72 deg temps, partly cloudy skies, and generally southerly 6-8 knot breezes for the Mendelblatt Team Race Regatta, co-hosted by University of South Florida and Eckerd College. One round of qualifying races were completed by 1:30 pm. The Championship double round-robin was then started at USF, and the Consolations at Eckerd. One redress given toYale for breakdown (vs Eckerd), race to be re-sailed. One protest allowed (BU vs Eckerd).
