The quest for another Ivy League title begins Friday, and for the second time in three years the Bulldogs will open their season at New Mexico State.  Game one of the season is slated for this Friday at 8:05 p.m. Eastern Time.

Coming off a first-place finish in the Ivy League regular season standings in 2018, Yale returns four All-Ivy selections and most of a team that led the nation in fielding percentage a year ago. The Bulldogs were chosen first in the Ivy League Preseason Media Poll.

Two years ago, Scott Politz tossed eight innings of one-run ball en route to a season-opening win for the Bulldogs against New Mexico State.

The Aggies have started the season 4-0 after sweeping a series against Texas Southern last weekend.  Nick Gonzalez, the reigning WAC Freshman of the Year, went 16-for-22 last weekend with 16 RBI as New Mexico State scored 98 runs in four games.

Next weekend, the Bulldogs take to the road again with a three-game series at New Orleans.
