The Bulldogs continue their trip through Florida with a two-game series at Central Florida beginning on Tuesday at 6 p.m. Game two on Wednesday is also a 6 p.m. start.

Yale (3-7) dropped two one-run games at No. 5 Florida last weekend.  Despite the losses, the Bulldogs competed at a high-level and showed many positives.

Senior captain Simon Whiteman, junior Alex Stiegler and first-year Jake Gehri all earned spots on the Ivy League Weekly Honor Roll.

Whiteman went 7 for 11 with five stolen bases over the weekend and extended his hit 2019 hit streak to 10 games.  He leads the team with a .476 batting average.

Stiegler kept the Bulldogs in the game on Sunday in a 4-3 loss,  He tossed 6 and 2/3 innings, allowed six hits with seven strikeouts against the Gators.

Gehri slammed his first two collegiate homers in Sunday's game.  He went 5 for 12 in the series.

Central Florida (10-5), of the American Athletic Conference, has defeated two nationally ranked teams (Florida and Auburn) and lost two of three to Penn State last weekend.
