2007: Drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 15th round of the MLB Draft...First Team All-Ivy...Just the 18th player in Ivy history to be named to the first team three times, and the first Yale player since Dan Thompson (1994-96)...Second Team All-New England...Won the Paul Sortal Award, which goes to the player who "maximizes his ability to the fullest"...Started every game at first base...Became Yale's all-time leader in hits (230), doubles (54), at-bats (621) and putouts (1,287)...Hit .394 with 61 hits and a team-high 40 runs scored...Pounded 16 doubles for the third straight season...Finished fourth on the squad with 21 RBIs and tied for fourth with three home runs...Hit .400 in Ivy League play and had a 13-game hitting streak in conference games...Went hitless only seven times, and had 19 multi-hit games...Went 4-for-4 with two doubles and four runs scored, including the game-winner in Yale's 8-7 win at Furman (March 15)...Homered in back-to-back games at Richmond (March 10-11)...Doubled in his final collegiate at-bat leading off the ninth inning in the season finale at Brown (April 29).
