AT YALE: Greenberg, the 2005-06 team captain, has come a long way in his time at Yale. As a freshman in 2002-03 he served as team manager. Head coach James Jones was so impressed with Greenberg that he asked him to play for the team in his sophomore year. Greenberg, who has become a fan favorite at the John J. Lee Amphitheater, appeared in a career-high 10 games last winter. His first career three-pointer came at Niagara, and he also added a three-pointer in Yale's 78-60 victory over eventual Ivy champion Penn. Following the season, he was the recipient of the Richard Derby Academic Award for the second year in a row and the inaugural Josh Hill Award for hard work and dedication to the team.
As a sophomore, Greenberg appeared in four games, and his first career points were two free throws against Old Westbury. He also had an assist and two steals in three minutes against Dartmouth.
AT JAMESVILLE-DEWITT: Greenberg was an all-league and All Central New York selection at Jamesville-Dewitt High School. In addition, he was named to the all-tournament team at the state Final Four.
PERSONAL: Josh was born on June 13, 1984. He is the son of Dave Greenberg and Cindy Bahn. At Yale, he is a psychology/economics major. His career plans are to become a lawyer.
