2011-12: Finished 27th in the nation in rebounding (9.7 rpg.), 36th in blocks (2.24 per game) and 37th in scoring (18.2 ppg.)… Named first team All-Ivy… Earned all-district honors from the NABC… Led the Ivy League in rebounding and blocks… Shared the league lead in scoring and finished sixth in field goal percentage (.474)… Four-time Ivy League Player of the Week… Scored 20 points or more 14 times… Was at his best against the most challenging opponents… Had 20 points and 12 rebounds at Wake Forest, 26 points and 15 rebounds at Florida and averaged 19.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in two games against Harvard… Also posted one of the most dominant performances in recent memory by scoring 35 points and grabbing 22 rebounds in a win over St. Joseph (L.I.).
2010-11: Ninth in the nation in blocked shots (3.0 per game) and 24th in rebounding (10.0 rpg.)... Unanimous first team All-Ivy selection... Earned all-district honors from the NABC... Led the Ivy League in rebounding and blocked shots and was second in scoring (16.3 ppg.)... First Ivy League player since Harvard's Kyle Snowden in 1995-96 to average a double-double for the season... First Yale player to average a double-double since Chris Dudley in 1986-87... His 85 blocks were the most in a season in school history and the third most in Ivy history... Scored 20 points or more in nine games, including tallying a career-high 30 in a victory at Dartmouth... Led the team in rebounding in all but four games and grabbed a career-high 17 at Brown... Averaged 18.6 points and 10.4 rebounds in Ivy games, which both led the league... His 51 blocks in league games set an Ivy record... Four-time Ivy League Player of the Week selection... 2009-10: Led the Ivy League in blocked shots (2.0 per game, 50)… Tied for fifth in rebounding (5.5 rpg.)… Fourth on the team in scoring (7.5 ppg.) and tied for second in rebounding… Tied for the team lead with three double-doubles… Led team in scoring twice and led team in rebounding seven times… Missed the first six games of the season recovering from a foot injury suffered in the offseason… Made his first career start against Lehigh and responded with his first double-double (16 points, 14 rebounds)… Posted double-doubles in Ivy League wins over Brown (12 points, 11 rebounds) and Columbia (12 points, 10 rebounds)… Blocked six shots against Army… Scored 19 points in overtime loss to Harvard.
2008-09: Recipient of the John C. Cobb Award as the team’s top freshman at the post season banquet… Appeared in 20 games off the bench… Tied for third on the team in blocks (13)… Led team with eight points at Cornell… Had four rebounds and three blocks in career-high 16 minutes in victory over Holy Cross.
Before Yale: Two-time all-state selection at nearby Notre Dame West Haven High School... Averaged 26 points, 15 rebounds and six blocked shots as a senior... Nominated for the McDonald’s All-American game... Named league most valuable player as a senior... Two-time all-league selection... Selected All-Area MVP as both a junior and senior... Scored 14 points in the Connecticut High School Coaches Association All-Star Festival... Helped lead Notre Dame to the quarterfinals of the state tournament... Played for the Connecticut Basketball Club AAU team, which won the Division I Showcase in Florida.
