Willhite, Morgan Earn Academic All-District Honors

Both Shining In Classroom And On Court

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Two Yale players have earned Capital One Academic All-District I honors. Senior Reggie Willhite and junior Austin Morgan were both named to the first team.

Willhite, a political science major, leads the Ivy League with 38 steals. He also is in the top-10 in the league in five other categories - scoring (t-9th, 12.2 ppg.), field goal percentage (5th, .500), assists (6th, 3.7), blocked shots (8th, 0.8) and assist/turnover ratio (10th, 1.4).

Morgan, an architecture major, is one of the top shooters in the Ivy League. He is sixth in the nation and tops in the league in free throw percentage (.909, 50-of-55). In addition, he is eighth in the league in scoring (12.4 ppg.) and third in three-point field goals made (2.4 per game).

Both Willhite and Morgan have started all 18 games for the Bulldogs, who host Penn and Princeton this weekend.

First-team Academic All-District  honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
