Oni Named To Lou Henson Award Mid Season Watch List

Sophomore Star Leading Bulldogs In Scoring, Rebounding, Assists

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Sophomore Miye Oni, who leads the Bulldogs in scoring (16.9 ppg.), rebounding (5.8 rpg.) and assists (50), has been named to the Lou Henson Award Mid Season Watch List. The Lou Henson Award is presented annually to the nation's top Division I mid-major player.

Oni is enjoying an outstanding second season for the Bulldogs. He is among the Ivy League leaders in virtually every category, including scoring (fifth), rebounding (seventh) and assists (fifth) and has scored at least 12 points in 12 straight games. In Yale's win at Kennesaw State on Dec. 30, he flirted with a triple-double, finishing with 22 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

The winner of the Lou Henson Award will be announced on Mar. 31 at the CollegeInsider.com Awards ceremony in San Antonio, site of the men's NCAA Basketball Championship.
