Varsity Eight to Race in Petite Final

CAMDEN, N.J. – Yale's varsity eight will race in Saturday's petite final after finishing fifth in the semifinal on the second day of competition at the IRA National Championships.  The Yale second varsity will also row in tomorrow's petite final after finishing fifth in a seven-boat semifinal.  The freshman eight and varsity four will row in the third-level finals.

Varsity Eight Semifinal

In the second of two second-varsity heats Yale also finished fifth.  Harvard finished first with a time of 5:41.800, and while no other times were recorded the finishing order was: Wisconsin (2nd), Princeton (3rd), Brown (4th), Yale (5th), Penn (6th) and Dartmouth (7th).

The varsity will race tomorrow at noon, the second varsity at 10:15 a.m. and the varsity four at 7:45 a.m.  The freshman eight will race at 9:21 a.m.  A full race schedule is available here.
