No. 12 Yale To Race Dartmouth for Olympic Axe

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - No. 12 Yale's crews will face crews from Dartmouth on Saturday at the Gilder Boathouse. The Bulldogs swept all events last year and hope for a repeat performance to ensure continued possession of the race's trophy, the Olympic Axe. This is the Bulldogs' second duel of the season. After two weeks of hard work since Brown, the entire squad returns to action in search of victory.

The third varsity will race first at 11:00 a.m. They will be followed by the first freshman eight at 11:20. The second varsity races at 11:40. The varsity heads down the course at noon.

Last year the Yale third varsity finished 12.4 seconds ahead of the Dartmouth second varsity. In the same race, the Yale second varsity took first with 20.5 seconds over Dartmouth. The freshman eight topped Dartmouth by 11.7 seconds. 19.2 seconds separated last year's varsity and Dartmouth's.
