NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The lightweights travel to both Columbia and Cornell this weekend in a busy weekend of dual season action. On Saturday, the Elis travel to Overpeck Park, N.J., to square off against Columbia and Penn in the Dodge Cup; the Elis then travel north to Ithaca, N.Y., where they will race Cornell on Sunday morning.

The Dodge Cup should prove an exciting contest. The Elis enter the weekend ranked No. 6, behind No. 2 Columbia and ahead of No. 10 Penn. However, the Bulldogs will be intent on maintaining their grip on the Dodge Cup, which they have won for 11 straight seasons.

Racing gets underway at Overpeck Park at 3:00 p.m., with the third varsity eight. At 3:20 p.m. is the second varsity, followed by the first varsity eight at 3:40 p.m. All three crews will seek to build on their undefeated starts to the season, as they gain more experience as the season moves forward.

On Sunday, the Bulldogs face No. 1 ranked Cornell. After close races across the board in last season's fixture, all three crews will be prepared for fast competition. The schedule for Sunday begins at 9:40 a.m. with the third varsity. The second varsity is at 10:00 a.m., and the first varsity is at 10:20 a.m.
