NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Y150 travels down to Princeton, N.J. this weekend to contest the Goldthwait and Vogel Cups against No. 6 Harvard and No. 3 Princeton. Yale continues to hold the No. 1 spot after sweeping Dartmouth College and will be looking to secure a win on Saturday in order to maintain the top seed for the EARC Sprints Regatta. At stake is the Goldthwait Cup for the winner of the varsity eight race, and the entire squads from the three schools are competing for the Vogel Cup, named for former Yale coach and legend David Vogel '71.

Racing gets underway for Yale at 10:30 with the fourth varsity eight race. Yale's 4V was ranked 4th in the latest EARC seeding poll, ahead of No. 5 Harvard, and will be looking to challenge No. 2 Princeton.
The No. 3 Yale 3V will be racing the No. 1 Princeton third varsity and No. 5 Harvard. This will be an important opportunity for the Bulldogs to test their speed against the top of their category.
The Bulldog second varsity continues to hold onto its No. 2 seeding. They will be racing No. 3 Princeton and No. 4 Harvard. The Bulldogs secured a convincing result against Dartmouth last weekend. The second varsities of Harvard and Princeton are both coming off of wins themselves last weekend against Navy and Penn, respectively.
The final race of the morning will be the Goldthwait Cup race for first varsities. No. 1 Yale will be looking to continue its unbeaten season in preparation for the EARC Sprints. The HYP Regatta has seen many close finishes and is always a tightly contested race between highly competitive crews
