Derby, CT - The Elis won the Dodge Cup Saturday morning in a race that went down to the wire, defeating Penn by two-tenths of a second. The Bulldogs finished with a time of 5:57.1 in the nail-biter on the Housatonic River. Columbia finished third with a time of 6:01.0.
Today's win marked the Elis' second consecutive victory, after capturing the Joy Cup last weekend at MIT and Boston College's expense.
The second varsity had a similar outcome, besting the Quakers by eight-tenths of a second. The Lions won the day's other two races.
The Elis have little time to enjoy their victory, with a matchup against Ancient Eight rival Cornell tomorrow in New York.
