NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Yale continues competition on the road this Sunday at the NYU Invitational in New York, N.Y. The Bulldogs will face Notre Dame, which finished second at the NCAA Championship last year, at 8:00 a.m. Stevens will be Yale's next opponent at 9:15 a.m. At 10:30 a.m., the Bulldogs will take on a team they beat at last year's Invitational, Wayne State. Following this bout, Yale will fence hosts NYU at 11:45 a.m. The Bulldogs will close the tournament at 1:30 p.m. against Ohio State, last year's national champions.
"The tournament at NYU will be one of our most challenging tournaments of the season," commented team manager Andrew Holbrook.
"We will fence two of the toughest teams in the country: Notre Dame, which finished 2nd at NCAA nationals last year, and Ohio State which finished 1st."
He added on the other competitors: "We will also be fencing NYU, Wayne State and Stevens. We have all been working hard and are excited to have an opportunity to prove ourselves."
Starting squads have yet to be determined.
