NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Dick Galiette/Yale
Football Press Conference has moved from the Course at Yale back to
campus for 2009, with the first edition being held tomorrow at 2
p.m. The new location for the weekly event is The Yale Bookstore,
which will serve as host for the next 10 Tuesdays at 2 p.m.
Tom Williams, the Joel E. Smilow, Class of 1954 Head Coach, and a selection of players will take part in the press conferences, which will be streamed live online every week at SportingNewsCT.com.
Senior linebacker Paul Rice, the captain of the Bulldogs, will join Williams for the first edition as the Blue prepares for its Sept. 19 opener at Georgetown.
The conferences will take place on the second floor of The Yale Bookstore, in the area where book signings are held next to the magazine racks and the café. The weekly Dick Galiette/Yale Football Press Conference is open to the public, though questions for Williams and his players may only be asked by members of the working media.
The Yale Bookstore, located at 77 Broadway in New Haven, is also the sponsor of the Yale Sports Hotline (203.432.YALE), where Yale fans can access game-day scores without going to their computers.
