Two More Added to Yale's Class of 2014

Semones, Yarrington Added to Roster

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale Football Team announced two additions to the class of 2014 bringing the total for the new class to 28. The additions include Loomis Chaffee School quarterback Jake Semones (in photo), the son of Yale football assistant coach Doug Semones, and receiver/defensive back Brandis Yarrington (Ann Arbor, Mich.).

 

Here are short bios on both student-athletes.

 

Jake Semones

QB

6-1, 170           Woodbridge, CT

At Loomis Chaffee School: Played QB for football team and outfield for baseball in 2009-10… At Sandpoint (Idaho) High School: League offensive MVP as QB senior year… All-state selection… Led team to 2008 league title… Three-year scholar-athlete recipient for both baseball and football… Personal: Jake Kainoa Semones is the son of Linda and Doug Semones… Father is a Yale football assistant coach... Family moved to Connecticut in 2009.

 

Brandis Yarrington

WR/DB

5-7, 160           Ann Arbor, Mich.

At Ann Arbor Pioneer High School: Three-year letterman… Earned all of his honors as a senior in 2009…All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) … All-Washtenaw County… First-team all-metro… Had 31 tackles, 400 receiving yards and eight touchdowns as a senior… Offensive MVP...  Four-year letterman in track… Personal: Brandis Dean Yarrington is the son of Gregory and Carol Yarrington…Father played football at Cornell (1982-1986)… Interested in economics as a major.
