Notes: Through two seasons as Yale's starting QB, Witt is on pace to break all of the school's major passing records... He is already fourth in all-time completions (350), fifth in attempts (592), sixth in passing yards (3665), eighth in passing touchdowns (20)... He is currently the most accurate (59.1 percent) passer in Yale history... Witt was elected to the team's Leadership Council... After transferring from Nebraska, Witt became the first transfer student at Yale to start immediately at QB since World War II (when transfers were common).
2010: Second-team All-Ivy selection… Led Ivy in passing yards (2,216), yards/game (246.2), completions (212), attempts (351)... 2009: Completed 22 of 27 passes for 216 yards against Georgetown... Connected on 28 of 41 with 2 TDs vs. Brown... Season efficiency of 109.59 with a 57.3 completion percentage (138 of 241)... Threw eight TD passes and had 11 interceptions.
At Nebraska: Served as Huskers backup in 2008... Appeared in five games with six completions (40 yards) in eight attempts... Played in 2008 Gator Bowl... No. 3 QB in 2007 but gained redshirt season... 4.0 GPA in five semesters in Lincoln... Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll, Nebraska Dean's List.
At Wylie High: Played senior season after moving from Georgia... Threw for 1,846 yards and 17 touchdowns... Ran for 330 yards and four touchdowns... Named team MVP... All-district and all-region selection... Team fell one win shy of the state playoffs... At Parkview High (Lilburn, Ga.): Threw for 1,000 yards and 12 scores as a junior... Ran for 15 touchdowns... Football teams went a combined 32-8 over three seasons.
Personal: Son of Gene and Kathy Witt, both commercial pilots and captains... Brother, Jeff, played QB at Harvard and graduated in 2009...
