3 Straight Ivy Games on YES
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale Football Team will be showcased on the YES Network for the fourth straight season. The package known as "Yale on YES" includes three straight Ivy League Games during the 2011 season, at three different venerable Ancient Eight venues, on the nation's most-watched regional sports network.
The YES games are Saturday, Oct. 29 (Yale at Columbia), Saturday, Nov. 5 (Brown at Yale) and Saturday, Nov. 12 (Yale at Princeton). All three games begin at noon ET.
The Bulldogs have partnered with the YES Network on football, basketball and hockey telecasts each of the last three years.
YES broadcaster Chris Shearn handles the play-by-play, with color commentary coming from former Ivy League and National Football League lineman Ross Tucker and former Yale defensive back Jack Ford '72, a well-known author and TV personality.
The YES Network, the most-watched regional sports network in the country the past eight years, features game telecasts of the 27-time World Champion New York Yankees and the New Jersey Nets. The network is available in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey and Pennsylvania on cable. YES is also available nationally on DirecTV, AT&T U-verse, Verizon FiOS and via select cable operators. In addition to the Yankees and Nets, YES televises Emmy Award-winning biography, interview and magazine programs, a live daily simulcast of WFAN Radio's highly rated Mike Francesa show, and college football and basketball games.
