Witt Playing in NFLPA Collegiate Bowl
Yale QB Headed for NFL Combine
LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Patrick Witt (Atlanta, Ga.), Yale's three-year starting quarterback and the holder of almost every school passing record, is preparing for a run at a job in the National Football League. The first order of business is an opportunity to play for the NFC team in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl this Saturday at 6 p.m. EST at the Home Depot Center.
Witt, who completed his class work last semester and is working on his senior essay, has been training in California in preparation for the Feb. 22-28 NFL Combine at Indianapolis.
Super Bowl winning head coaches Dick Vermeil (NFC), who coached ex-Yale great John Spagnola with the Eagles, and Tom Flores (AFC), the great Oakland Raider mentor, will lead the two squads that total more than 100 players combined.
Other participants include UCLA's Tony Dye, Brandon Carswell of USC, Bryce McNaul of Northwestern and Jordan Futch and Jacory Harris of the University of Miami.
Here are the rosters for the NFLA game.
