3 Straight Ivy Games on YES
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale Football Team will be showcased on the YES Network for the fifth straight season. The package known as "Yale on YES" includes three straight Ivy League Games during the 2012 season, at three different venerable Ancient Eight venues, on the nation's most-watched regional sports network.
The YES games are Oct. 27 (Yale at Columbia, 12:30), Nov. 3 (Yale at Brown, 12:30) and Nov. 10 (Princeton at Yale, Noon). These are all Saturday games and times are subject to change.
The Bulldogs have partnered with the YES Network on football, basketball and hockey telecasts over the last four years.
YES broadcaster Chris Shearn handles the play-by-play with color from former Yale defensive back Jack Ford '72, a well-known author and TV personality. Ross Tucker, a former Ivy League and National Football League lineman, will join the team for the Brown game.
The YES Network, the most-watched regional sports network in the country the past nine years, features game telecasts of the 27-time World Champion New York Yankees and the New Jersey Nets. The network is available in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey and Pennsylvania on cable. YES is also available nationally on DirecTV, AT&T U-verse, Verizon FiOS and via select cable operators. In addition to the Yankees and Nets, YES televises Emmy Award-winning biography, interview and magazine programs, a live daily simulcast of WFAN Radio's highly rated Mike Francesa show, and college football and basketball games.
