Yale Football on ESPN Radio This Fall
Broadcasts Kick Off Sept. 21
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – You can listen to legendary coach Carm Cozza and Ron Vaccaro '04 call the action of Yale Football this fall on ESPN Radio (AM 1300), iHeart Radio and on espnradio1300.com.
Yale Athletics and Clear Channel Communications (ESPN Radio 1300, WELI 960, KC 101 - FM in New Haven) agreed to a three-year deal for the Bulldogs to air on ESPN Radio, which could eventually become the flagship station for a new Yale Football Radio Network.
All 10 contests, beginning with the Sept. 21 opener at Colgate, air on AM 1300. Some of those games can be heard simultaneously on WELI (AM 960). That schedule will be finalized early this fall.
Cozza, who handles the color commentary, is the career victory leader among Ivy League coaches and a member of the College Football Hall of Fame. This is his 16th season in the booth after a 32-year head coaching tenure during which he led the Bulldogs to 10 Ivy League Championships.
The play-by-play is done by Vaccaro (in photo), entering his ninth season as the voice of the Bulldogs. He has been covering the team since his freshman year in 2000.
