Drake Gets Ivy Honor
Senior DE Named Defensive Player of Week
PRINCETON, NJ - Senior DE Dylan Drake (Plantation, Fla.), who had six solos, three tackles for loss and a sack has been named co-recipient of the first Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week Award.
Drake, who also caught a touchdown pass on special teams, became a starter last year after a year on JV and a year missed with an injury.
With six seconds left in the first half and the field goal unit coming on the field, Drake lined up on the 15-yard line and then darted toward the end zone on the snap. Derek Russell took the snap and hit Drake on the run to close the first half of a 39-22 Yale win at Colgate on Sept. 21.
It was Drake's second career TD catch.
