FROM THE COACH

Jack Siedlecki, Yale's Joel E. Smilow Head Coach of Football, on the New Class

"We are very excited about the 30 new members of the Yale football team, who come to us from 17 different states, for a number of reasons. We graduated four receivers and have brought in four outstanding ones to fill that void. Chris Stanley and Marcus Wallace, will be the two fastest guys on the team. Stanley has run the 100 meters in 10.6 and Wallace won the Wisconsin 200 meter title as a junior with a 21.8. John Pagliaro is the son of former Yale All-American John Pagliaro, while Ryan Vandersloot's father also played for the Bulldogs. The tradition of brothers playing at Yale continues with this class. Brook Hart, Eric Gresham and Wallace join older brothers on the squad this fall. We also have a big group of offensive linemen, both in numbers and size, led by 300-pounder Nathan Burow. Other interesting aspects of this group include Virginia congressman's son Patrick Moran and the fact that 11 of these players attended our camp last June."
