Bulldogs Back in Town To Prep for 2006

The Bulldogs are gathering in New Haven to plan a way to prevent the Lions, Tigers, Bears -- and other members of the Ivy League -- from taking their bone, the Ancient Eight crown. Yale is not the defending champion, but the Elis believe they have enough returning talent to taste what has evaded them since 1999. The 2006 Yale football team arrives on campus on Aug. 21 to begin preparations for opening day at Yale Bowl, Sept. 16 against San Diego on Youth Day.
The four weeks leading up to the season lidlifter include numerous practices, meetings, testing and a scrimmage at Princeton on Thursday, Aug. 31, at 1:30 p.m. Here is the pre-season schedule:
