Hamilton, Kimball Earn Academic Honors

Nov. 8, 2007

Yale football seniors DT Jared Hamilton and PK Alan Kimball were named today to the District I ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District football team.

Hamilton, a political science major with a 3.35 GPA, leads the Bulldogs with three sacks and has started every game this season. He and his Eli defensive mates lead the nation in scoring defense, while the 8-0 Blue is ranked No. 12 in the latest FCS poll.

Kimball, who leads the Ivy League and is 10th in the country with 1.5 field goals per game, has booted 12 three-pointers in 15 attempts this fall. Kimball, a history major with a 3.97 GPA, was a Draddy Award semi-finalist, an honor bestowed on the nation's top football scholar-athlete.

Yale travels to Princeton this Saturday for a 1 p.m. kickoff in a game televised by the YES Network.
