NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale Athletics Department will test live video streaming from the Yale Bowl, Class of 1954 Field, for Saturday's football game against Princeton (12:30 p.m. EST) on yalebulldogs.com. Fans may access this video feed for free by clicking here to watch or by clicking on the "Watch" link in the schedule section of the yalebulldogs.com home page. Plans call for the audio from the WELI 960 AM broadcast featuring Ron Vaccaro '04 (play-by-play) and former Yale head coach Carm Cozza (color) to accompany the video.
Yale (7-1, 5-0 Ivy) is currently in sole possession of first place in the Ivy League. Princeton (7-1, 4-1 Ivy) is tied for second with Harvard. Yale plays at Harvard Nov. 18 in the season finale.
This is the first time that live video streaming on the Internet from the Yale Bowl, Class of 1954 Field, has been attempted on yalebulldogs.com. This is a one-camera shoot utilizing the sideline coach's camera that shoots from beneath the press box and pans back and forth to follow the action.
The department asks fans to please be patient with any technical difficulties that may occur during this free test.
In order to view the video stream, fans will need Windows Media Player 9 or 10, available for download at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/10/default.aspx.
Live audio streaming of the game will also be available separately through www.960weli.com and www.wybc.com (student radio). WELI broadcasts a tailgate show starting at 11:35 a.m. and a pre-game show starting at 12:05 p.m. The WYBC pre-game show starts at Noon.
