The Yale Bulldogs proved to be rather inhospitable hosts this weekend at their Spring Opener, taking first overall, edging out Central Connecticut with an overall score of +30 for the weekend.
The Elis finished a full ten strokes ahead of Harvard (+40), and eighteen strokes ahead of fellow Ivy Leaguers Dartmouth (+48). The win marks the Bulldogs' second tournament of the spring, and follows up a solid second-place finish in the George Washington Invitational Mar. 19-20.
Freshman Carson Weinand was Yale's top finisher individually, tying for third overall in that category with rounds of 71 and 72 on the weekend. Junior Brandon Marick (77, 69) and freshman Brad Kushner (73, 75) also delivered strong performancs in the Eli win.
Yale will be back in action next weekend when they compete in the Princeton Invitational.
