ITHACA, N.Y. - Coming off a second-place finish at the Doc Gimmler, the Yale Men's Golf Team looks to capture its first tournament victory of the season this weekend at the Cornell Invitational hosted at Robert Trent Jones Golf Course. The Bulldogs, led by senior captain James Nicholas, who placed first overall at the Doc Gimmler, will take on 12 other schools including conference foes Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth and Penn.

Nicholas is the defending medalist at the Cornell Invitational after he sank a 40-foot putt on the final hole to clinch the victory last season. He looks to lead the Elis to a team championship after Yale placed second at the event with a four-over, 856 in 2017.

Play begins on Saturday with 36 holes and continues on Sunday with a third and final 18-hole round.
