April 17, 2004

The men's golf team led with a score of 309 after the first 18 holes of play at the Ivy League Championships, held at the Metedeconk National Golf Course. But a second round of 328 hurt the defending champion Bulldogs, who now stand in fifth overall going into the final round tomorrow.

Steve Gray leads the Bulldogs in 8th place overall with a 2-round score of 155, made up of a first-round 75 and a second-round 80. Brian Kim shot a 75 and 84 to stand in 10th place.

Dan Levy recorded rounds of 81 and 80 to place 15th, while Andrew Vitt rounded out the Yale roster with scores of 78 and 88, good for 28th overall.

The Elis hope to regain their first-round success tomorrow in the final round. Last season, Yale won the Ivy League title.
