Bulldogs Tied for Second After First Day at New England Championship

Providence, RI - With Steve Gray carding the top individual score (70), Yale stands in a tie for second place at the New England Championships. The Bulldogs and UConn are both at 308, seven strokes behind URI in the 14-team field. Day two of competition at the Triggs Memorial GC takes place Sunday.

At 70, Gray holds a three-stroke lead over three different players. Rick Reissman had Yale's next best day, shooting a 77 to tie for 17th. Mark Matza (80), Joe Hernandez (81) and Andrew Denenberg (82) rounded out the field for the Elis.
