YALE JUNIOR GETS HCA AWARD FOR FEB
NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Broc Little has been named Hockey Commissioners' Association Division I Player of the Month for February after accumulating 10 goals and 16 points in eight games for a Yale team that won seven of those.
Little, who had three goals and four points against Clarkson on Feb. 20, had a point in seven of the games. He had three multiple-goal games and six multiple-point outings last month.
The Yale junior forward from Rindge, N.H., was just named first-team All-ECAC and first-team All-Ivy League and currently leads the country in goals (25), goals-per-game (.82) and game-winners (7). Little is currently on a four-game point streak.
He and the 2009-10 ECAC Hockey Regular Season Champions host a March 12-14 conference quarterfinal playoff series at Ingalls Rink.
The Hockey Commissioners' Association, in conjunction with the American Hockey Coaches Association, awards a player and rookie of the month from October through March. Little is the first Bulldog player to win this award.
