PRINCETON, N.J. – Yale senior captain Jimmy Martin (St. Louis, Mo.) has been named College Hockey News Second-Team All-America.
Martin, one of three ECAC Hockey players to earn first or second-team honors, led the Bulldogs to a 28-7-1 season that included a conference tournament title and a win in the NCAA Tournament.
He had a career-high seven goals and 23 points this winter, including a two-goal outing in the first game of the post season. Martin was an ECAC All-Tournament Team pick after helping the Bulldogs win the championship at Atlantic City.
The veteran blueliner now shares the Yale record with 138 games played, while his 58 points rank eighth among all-time Eli defensemen.
Martin signed an amateur tryout agreement with the ECHL Reading Royals (Maple Leafs, Bruins) on March 30.
