PRINCETON, N.J. -- Six Yale players were named to the 2010 All-Ivy League Men's Lacrosse Team that was announced today. Three were second-team selections and three were named honorable mention after helping the Bulldogs to a 10-3 overall mark and a share of the Ivy League title.

Sophomore attackman Matt Gibson and midfielders Nick Tsouris (senior) and sophomore Gregory Mahony garnered second-team status. Junior goalie Johnathan Falcone and rookie defensemen Michael McCormack and Peter Johnson were all honorable mention. This was the first time any of the six have been voted to the All-Ivy squad.

Gibson leads the team with 44 points and is second with 26 goals. Tsouris, known as one of the best shortstick defenders in the country, has 27 ground balls. Mahony is third on the team with 18 goals.

Falcone, who has an 8.66 GAA and a .502 save percentage, has started every game this season, while Johnson and McCormack, who help form the country's youngest defensive unit, combined for 69 ground balls.

The No. 15 Elis take on ninth-ranked Princeton Friday at 5 p.m. in an Ivy League Tournament semifinal at Cornell.
