Senior Gets Yale's First NEILA Honor

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Brian Douglass (Waccabuc, N.Y.) has been named NEILA/Skor Sports Player of the Week after helping the No. 14/18 Yale men's lacrosse team to a pair of wins last week.

Douglass, the first Bulldog to earn New England honors this spring, netted seven goals and one assist in home wins over Providence (April 5) and Dartmouth (April 9). The senior attackman tallied five times in an 11-9 win over the Friars. He added two goals and one assist in a 9-7 win over the Big Green on dedication day at Reese Stadium.

Douglass, who leads the team with 21 goals and 32 points, has a point in 23 straight games including nine goals over his last three outings.

Yale (7-2, 2-2 Ivy), the top ranked NEILA squad, hosts Brown in its home season finale on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Reese Stadium.
