Another In Long List Of Honors For Senior Goalie
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The honors continue to come in for Yale goalie Johnathan Falcone, who has been named to the Capital One Academic All-America Men's At-Large Third Team. Falcone ranked seventh in Division I with a 7.30 goals against average and was 14th in save percentage (.559) this spring. He was named the team's defensive player of the year (Christian Prince Award) and finished his career eighth on the Yale career save chart with 360.
The economics major with a 3.79 GPA was just as impressive off the field. Falcone, who spent a summer at the London School of Economics and Political Science, is a member of the Economics Undergraduate Student Advisory Committee. In addition, he was elected as secretary of Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity while being a significant contributor to "Bulldog Buddies," a Yale community outreach program that has students serving as mentors to New Haven Public School children.
Falcone also earned second team All-Ivy, first team All-New England and second team Lowe's Senior All-America honors. In addition, he was a Lowe's Senior CLASS Award finalist and a NEILA Senior scholar-athlete.
