Christian Prince Tournament Oct. 16

Bulldogs Host Three Connecticut Schools

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale men's lacrosse team hosts its jamboree event, the Christian Prince Memorial Tournament, on Sunday, Oct. 16, with an all Connecticut field starting play at 9 a.m.

The tournament, named after the former standout Bulldog lacrosse player, includes Sacred Heart, Quinnipiac and Fairfield and will be played at Reese Stadium.

Prince, the namesake for Yale's defensive player of the year award and a scholarship fund at the university, earned a varsity letter as a Bulldog freshman in 1990 but died in the winter of 1991. He was a high school All-American at the Lawrenceville (N.J.) School, where he also lettered in football and hockey. Prince was also very involved in community outreach programs.

Reese Stadium is adjacent to Yale Bowl on the same side of Central Avenue.

If you want a look at the Bulldogs before they play in the tournament, there is a 9:30 a.m. alumni game this Saturday, where former players compete against the varsity at Reese Stadium a few hours before the Yale football team kicks off next door against Dartmouth.
