Two Seniors Drafted This Weekend

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – A pair of All-Ivy Yale players were selected in this weekend's 2012 Major League Lacrosse Collegiate Draft from the Downtown Marriott. Attackman Matt Gibson (Point Lookout, NY) and midfielder Gregory Mahony (Mercer Island, Wash.) were the 38th and 56th picks, respectively.

Gibson was taken by the Chesapeake Bayhawks after the pick bounced from Rochester to Denver. Gibson was a 2011 All-American and a 2012 pre-season choice. He could join Jack Flaherty '11, who was drafted by the Bayhawks last month.

The Boston Cannons drafted Mahony, a two-time All-Ivy and All-New England honoree.
