Pioneers Come To Reese Tuesday Night
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The No. 16 Yale men's lacrosse team (2-0), coming off a win over Albany on Saturday at home, is back in action Tuesday night at 7 to host Sacred Heart (0-3) at Reese Stadium. The game can be seen live on Yale's All Access on yalebulldogs.com.
This is the second meeting of Yale and Sacred Heart, but it will be the first played in Connecticut. The Elis won the first meeting, 21-11, in 2002 at Boca Raton, Fla.
Yale, which has played two games at home, opened the season on Feb. 25 with a 19-6 win over St. John's. The Elis followed that with a 13-7 win over Albany a week later. Matt Gibson had two goals and four assists to lead Yale to the win over the Great Danes. Eric Natale made six saves in his second start in goal. The Blue moved up from No. 18 in the USILA rankings to 16th with the win over St. John's. There could be another move with Saturday's win when the new rankings come out Monday.
