Yale Frosh Gets Ivy Honor
PRINCETON, N.J. – Conrad Oberbeck, a freshman on the Yale men's lacrosse team from Greenwich, Conn., has been named Ivy League Rookie of the Week for his five goals in two games.
Oberbeck, an attackman who played at Brunswick School, hit the net twice against Sacred Heart last Tuesday before scoring three times at Lehigh on Sunday. He scored three straight against the No. 15 Mountain Hawks to tie the game in the second quarter before the Elis eventually fell 11-7.
This is the first Ivy League honor for a Yale player this season.
The rookie leads the team with 10 goals over four games for the 2-2 Elis.
