6 Home Dates At Reese
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The official 2013 Yale men's lacrosse schedule was announced today and the defending Ivy League Tournament Champions have six regular-season games at Reese Stadium in addition to a pair of pre-season scrimmage dates.
The Bulldogs, who host Feb. 9 (LeMoyne) and 17 (Quinnipiac, Tufts) scrimmages, open the regular season with three straight road contests. The opener is against St. John's on Feb. 23, and the Elis are back in action a week later at Albany before going to Sacred Heart on March 5.
The home slate begins with state rival Fairfield on March 9 at 1 p.m., which is also the first of six live Yale All Access Broadcasts.
The Ivy League campaign lifts off on March 16 when Cornell comes to New Haven, and the Bulldogs follow that with two straight road league games against Princeton, a re-match from the Ivy Tournament Championship Game, and Penn. An April 2 game at Reese against Providence is a brief break in the Ivy slate as Dartmouth (April 6) and Brown (April 12) come to town in the middle of a four-game home stand that concludes with Stony Brook (April 15), the last game at Reese.
The Blue, 11-5 last spring with a nine-game win streak, takes on 2012 NCAA finalist Maryland at College Park on April 20 prior to completing the Ancient Eight slate with an April 27 afternoon contest at Harvard.
