Tallied three goals and five points in comeback win over Brown
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Brandon Mangan provided five points and the game-winning goal as the Bulldogs defeated Brown, 11-8, on Friday at Reese Stadium to move into second place in the Ivy League standings. Mangan's stellar performance resulted in his second Ivy League Co-Player of the week honor this season.
Down 8-7 midway through the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs scored four straight to put the game away. Mangan's third goal of the night gave Yale the lead for good with 4:39 to play.
Mangan is sixth in the nation in points per game with 4.40 and leads the Bulldogs in points (44), goals (25) and assists (19).
Mangan's award marks the third straight week a player from Yale has been selected as the Ivy Player of the Week. Colin Flaherty won the award last week.
The Bulldogs host Stony Brook tonight at 7 p.m. at Reese Stadium for their final home game of the season.
