Levings Wins 2014 Unsung Hero Award
Nobody on the Yale men’s lacrosse team is more involved in the community than Dylan Levings, Yale’s All-American face-off man. Few Bulldogs could be considered more important to the success of the team over the last four years. That’s why the senior from Massapequa, N.Y. , was named the winner of the One Love Foundation’s 2014 Unsung Hero Award.

Yale seniors Brandon Mangan and Dylan Levings were significant contributors in a wildly competitive USILA North-South All-Star Game played before the Division I national title game at M&T Stadium on May 26.

Oberbeck Named USILA All-American
He scored three goals or more in nine of Yale’s 14 games this spring on the way to a team-high 38 goals and 50 points. The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) recognized his offensive production in naming Conrad Oberbeck to its All-America team.

Kucharczyk Named Captain
Harry Kucharczyk, a short-stick defensive midfielder who has been a leader on the Yale lacrosse team for three years, has been named its 2014-15 captain after a vote by his teammates.

Yale Comes Up One Goal Short
It came down to the very last seconds. The No. 15 ranked Bulldogs battled the No. 1 seed to the very end but came up short in what could be their last game of the 2014 season. Yale fell 10-9 to Harvard in the second semifinal of the Ivy League Tournament.

Six Bulldogs stood out in the minds of the league’s head coaches when it came time to make their selections from the six other schools. Yale had one first-team pick, a second-teamer and four honorable mentions on the 2014 All-Ivy League Men’s Lacrosse Team that was announced today.

Yale-Harvard Again, With More At Stake
The Yale men's lacrosse team (9-4, 3-3 Ivy), in the post-season for a fifth straight season, takes on Harvard (9-5, 5-1) in the second semifinal of the Ivy League Tournament on Friday at 8 p.m. The No. 4 seed Bulldogs battle the top seed Crimson on ESPN3 for the right to play in Sunday's championship game at Harvard Stadium.

Bulldogs Fall 11-10 in Finale
There were 13.2 seconds left in the fourth quarter following a timeout. Mark Glicini had the ball running in from the sideline with Yale down a goal, looking to send the crucial Ivy League game to overtime. He suddenly spotted midfielder Shane Thornton cutting to the goal and hit him in stride. An extra session would have been the perfect way to finish off a crazy regular season, but Harvard goalie Jake Gambitsky stopped the shot from 15 feet away and ended the No. 13 Bulldogs’ hope for a sixth straight win.

Battle of Ranked Rivals Ends Regular Season
It has five straight wins, a berth in the Ivy League Tournament and a shot at five consecutive seasons with double-digit victories. The No.13 Yale men's lacrosse team (9-3, 3-2 Ivy) has accomplished a lot and has a lot on the line as No.16 Harvard (8-5, 4-1 Ivy) comes to New Haven to complete the regular season. Saturday is Senior Day for the Bulldogs with nine class of 2014 members suiting up at Reese for the last time in a 1:30 game that airs live on Fox College Sports TV.

After jumping out to a 7-1 lead in the first quarter, the No. 13 Yale men’s lacrosse team had to hold on for a 14-11 win over Quinnipiac at Reese Stadium.

Oberbeck Named Co-Ivy Player of Week
Conrad Oberbeck’s career-high outing in a win at Michigan Saturday has earned him a share of the Ivy League Player of the Week honors. The junior attackman hit the net six times and dished out two assists in the 13-7 win.

Yale Earns 5th Straight Post Season
The Yale men’s lacrosse team has been in every Ivy post-season tournament since its inception in 2010. The 2014 Bulldogs earned their fifth straight appearance with a 3-2 league record a week from the end of the regular season.

Bulldogs Win "Big" at Michigan
The No. 11 Bulldogs increased their win streak to four games with a win at the Big House in the first-ever meeting between Yale and Michigan. The Elis broke open a 6-3 game with three straight goals in the third quarter on the way to a 13-7 win in Michigan Stadium.

Dylan Levings scooped up the ball off the opening face-off, sprinted toward his offensive end and got the ball to Mark Glicini for a goal seven seconds into the game. Yale never looked back during its 8-5 non-league lacrosse victory over Providence at the Ray Treacy Track Complex.

A midseason report by InsideLacrosse.com picked Michael Quinn (Port Washington, NY) to its All-American first team. Quinn leads a Yale defense ranked seventh in the nation for clearing percentage (.914) and 11th in goals allowed (8.57).

Mark Glicini had a feeling the ball might come to him with the score tied and the clock running down on a crucial Ivy League contest. The sophomore midfielder did get the ball and fired a shot over the goalie’s shoulder from about 18 feet out with 38 seconds left to give the No. 16 Yale men’s lacrosse team a 16-15 win over No. 13 Princeton before a packed house at Reese Stadium.

Bulldogs Blast Lehigh 10-2
Defenseman Jimmy Craft took a short pass from his goalie in front of his own restraining line, noticed opposing goalie Matt Poillon drifting from his net and flung it three quarters the length of the field early in the fourth quarter. The ball sailed in the air all the way into the open net just missing the outstretched stick of the goalie as he dove across the goal line. Craft’s score, which brought on a sideline celebration reserved for championship games, gave Yale a 9-1 lead and was the play that absolutely put away Lehigh in a battle of ranked teams at Reese Stadium.

Andy Shay, Yale’s Ryan & Forst Family Head Coach, could not have asked for much more on an opening day at the friendly confines of Reese Stadium. His 11th season in New Haven was greated with balanced scoring, a dozen caused turnovers from a variety of players and a 10-6 win over No. 19 St. John’s before 1,290 fans. It was the perfect way for the No. 13 ranked Bulldogs to begin the season.

2014 Schedule Announced
It has become the norm that the toughest part of the Yale men’s lacrosse team schedule is its Ivy League contests. Such is the life in what may be the strongest conference in 2014. Four of the seven Ivy schools were ranked in the final 2013 USILA Poll and two were NCAA quarterfinalists, including the Elis, two-time defending Ivy League Tournament Champions who are currently No. 7 in the NCAA/insidelacrosse.com poll.

Resch Earns National Award
Conor Resch, a freshman defenseman on the Yale lacrosse team, has been named one of two recipients of the 2013 Michael Breschi Scholarship. Resch earned this award while attending La Salle College (Pa.) High School.

Stimmel Joins Yale Staff
