Quinn Named Midseason All-American

Eli Sophomore Playing at PC Tuesday

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – A midseason report by InsideLacrosse.com picked Michael Quinn (Port Washington, NY) to its All-American first team.  Quinn leads a Yale defense ranked seventh in the nation for clearing percentage (.914) and 11th in goals allowed (8.57).

Quinn, who leads the Ivy League and is eighth in the nation with 2.14 caused turnovers per game, leads Yale in caused turnovers (15) and is third with 19 ground balls.  His efforts have helped Yale hold opponents under eight goals in four games this season.

The Eli sophomore helped transition the defense after the graduation of standouts Peter Johnson and Michael McCormack in 2013.

Quinn was named as a pre-season honorable mention All-American and first-team All-New England pick earlier this year.  He is one of four defensive players in division I named to the first team and only one of three from the Ivy League.

The Bulldogs play at Providence Tuesday at 7 p.m.
