NEW HAVEN, Conn. – A challenging week for the Yale men's soccer team begins Tuesday night when No. 12 St. John's visits Reese Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 8 p.m. following the Yale-Marist women's game. The Bulldogs then open Ivy play on Saturday against 21st-ranked Harvard in Cambridge, Mass.

Yale saw its two-game unbeaten streak come to an end on Friday in a 1-0 loss to Fairleigh Dickinson. The Bulldogs outshot the Knights 14-9 and had the better of the play for much of the game. Yale is generating opportunities but struggling to finish. A strong effort against St. John's could help build the offense's confidence.

It won't be easy against a Red Storm team that has yielded only two goals in its last five games. Tadeu Terra leads St. John's in both goals (4) and assists (5). Seven other players also have scored. Rafael Diaz has started all seven games in goal and has a 0.93 goals against average. The Red Storm won the Big East Tournament last year.

Yale and St. John's are playing for the first time since 2001. The Bulldogs lead the all-time series 2-1.
